Vandersanden to take over industry partner Blomesche Wildnis

News overview

The international family business Vandersanden Group announced its acquisition of its Northern Germany industry partner Ziegelwerk Blomesche Wildnis today. Ziegelwerk Blomesche Wildnis shares the familial roots of Vandersanden and has been committed to craftsmanship and sustainability for generations. "We are honoured to continue the life work of Mr Pollmann and his predecessors with Vandersanden," Jean-Pierre Wuytack, CEO Vandersanden Group.

With the acquisition by Vandersanden, the German family-owned brick-making company will be incorporated into a like-minded organisation. Vandersanden and Ziegelwerk Blomesche Wildnis have been passed from generation to generation and are equally committed to sustainable production, craftsmanship and innovation. Ziegelwerk Blomesche Wildnis was passed down to Mr Heinrich Pollmann Jr. In 1973 who has led the business to this day. Mr Pollmann modernised the brick factory with investments in sustainable tunnel ovens while consistently safeguarding the business' defining craftsmanship.

"I am confident that our organisation is in good hands with Vandersanden," says Mr Pollmann, owner and operator of Ziegelwerk Blomesche Wildnis. "Our employees will continue on as a component of a true family business that stands for stability and vision. They will feel right at home in a business committed to craftsmanship and sustainability."

For Vandersanden Group, this is not the first German acquisition. Two years ago, Vandersanden Group acquired the modern brick-making company Oberlausitz near Dresden.
